At the end of pro-wrestling match, it really doesn't matter who wins or loses, but how over the worker gets with the crowd. Scoring TDs is also nice, but isn't the end goal itself.Īnother way to think about it, and how I frame my BzB events, is more like pro-wrestling. So, through that lens, the players successfully performing stunts is appropriate to score in the confines of boardgame 's the point. This is minor, minor league stakes where the players just wanna get a look and maybe appear on a draft board. The coaches and fans yell from the stands and the players try to impress. If one reads the fluff, it's about aspirational players who fight tooth and nail to get onto a pitch where they basically are just trying to prove their skills to coaches and scouts. That said, BzB has to be looked at a little differently than regular sports. I've been traveling around for tournaments, getting back from Chaos Cup in Chicago recently, run Blitz Bowl (BzB) events and have even fallen in love with Dungeon Bowl.particularly four player Dungeon Bowl.perhaps my favorite multiplayer game at the moment. We've got a 16 person league that's going on it's third season. I don't really play boardgames too much these days, or interact in that community, but I do play a lot of BB universe games.
